  7. RadStar is a terminal server module and associated API library for use by
  8. programmers to communicate with a network of the Monicor Electronic series of
  9. radio frequency modems. RadStar, in combination with these modems, allows users
  10. to communicate by radio with one or more devices which use standard RS-232
  11. input/output, such as regular terminals, bar code terminals, instruments, weigh
  12. scales, and portable computers. Unlike most other industrial systems, this
  13. system does not require proprietary data terminals. Any standard RS-232 device
  14. will work

  16. Application is wherever mobility is required or the physical environment
  17. otherwise makes direct connection difficult. Versions are available for both
  18. DOS and SCO XENIX/UNIX. Under SCO XENIX/UNIX each terminal can communicate with
  19. a separate application, or one application can communicate with a number of
  20. terminals. Programming is similar to using a tty port.
